Our NDIS Service

Therapeutic Supports — Counselling

Our NDIS service is deliberately focused. At this stage, The Brave Mind Project provides counselling only. We do not offer personal care, support coordination, behaviour support, in-home assistance or other disability support categories through this service.

NDIS funding for counselling depends on the participant's plan, goals and the NDIS funding criteria. An enquiry does not guarantee that a support can be claimed from an NDIS plan.

What you can expect

  • Counselling delivered by phone or secure video
  • Support linked to your disability-related needs and NDIS goals
  • A person-centred approach shaped around what matters to you
  • Clear service agreements, pricing and communication before support begins
  • Suitable for self-managed and plan-managed participants, subject to plan funding and fit

The Brave Mind Project's NDIS counselling service is not an emergency or crisis service and is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric or psychological care where those services are required.

Who We Support

A straightforward counselling option for NDIS participants and their support network

Participants

Counselling support can focus on disability-related challenges, adjustment, emotional wellbeing, relationships, communication, confidence and day-to-day coping where these connect to your NDIS goals.

Families & Nominees

A nominee, family member or trusted support person can help make the initial enquiry. The participant remains central to decisions about their counselling and consent.

Support Coordinators

We accept referral enquiries from support coordinators and other authorised professionals looking for a telehealth counselling option for a participant.

How It Works

Clear before complicated

You should know what the service is, who is providing it and how it will be funded before counselling begins.

01

Send an enquiry or referral

Tell us who is making the enquiry and the best way to contact you. Please keep detailed health information out of the website form.

02

We confirm fit and funding pathway

Before counselling begins, we clarify the requested support, whether telehealth is appropriate, and the relevant self-managed or plan-managed funding arrangements.

03

Service agreement and consent

The participant receives clear information about the service, fees, privacy, consent and cancellation arrangements before support starts.

04

Counselling starts by phone or video

Sessions are delivered remotely and are shaped around the participant’s goals, needs, preferences and agreed therapeutic focus.

Funding & Fees

No surprises before support starts

Our standard NDIS counselling rate is $156.16 per 60-minute session, matching the current national maximum price for Therapy – Counsellor – Telehealth under the NDIS Pricing Schedule effective 24 September 2026.

Remote and very remote NDIS price limits are higher where the applicable geographic classification permits. Any rate, session length and cancellation terms are confirmed in the participant's service agreement before support begins.

Invoices can be directed to the participant's plan manager using the agreed billing details.

If you are unsure whether counselling can be funded from your plan, send an enquiry and we can clarify the service and billing pathway before any appointment is arranged.
